Thank you to everyone who participated in the inaugural MicroConsignment Model Workshop! Check out the site in the upcoming days for updates, discussion notes, campaign results and more!

The mission of the MicroConsignment Model is to create first-time access to life-changing technologies, products and services for isolated villagers through locally-owned, managed and sustainable (profitable) entrepreneurial solutions.

The Community Enterprise Solutions leadership team first conceived of the MicroConsignment Model (MCM) in Guatemala in 2003 in order to create a sustainable and continuous way to deliver improved cookstoves. Since that time, we have increased the “basket of solutions” to include near vision glasses, eye drops, water purification buckets, solar lamps and flashlights, vegetable seeds and energy efficient lightbulbs. We have also expanded our geographic coverage to include Ecuador and Nicaragua, and are currently launching in South Africa.

The impact of our work has been profound, but it’s not enough. To truly create global impact through the model, we are now working with academics, solutions providers, social entrepreneurs, researchers, investors and advisors from around the world to empower the model to achieve its potential. This is what the MicroConsignment Model Workshop is all about.
